Introduction and Explanation

My father served in World War two as an Army sergeant. He saw action in Belgium and Germany during the battle of the bulge. He was also part of the Allied occupying force in Germany after VE day.

He brought back several artifacts from his stint in the Army. Among other items he saved, are some Nazi propaganda leaflets dropped on him, and the newsletter/newspaper he published while in occupied Germany. As of 2007, the paper elements of these items are now approaching 60 years old, and will no doubt eventually turn to dust and be lost without efforts to preserve them.

This blog is part of my attempt to preserve some of these artifacts and publish them to the world. Do with them what you will.
